Deployable cost-effective mobile Primary Health Center (mPHC) for low-resource settings
BACKGROUND AND MOTIVATION
What are the challenges in delivering healthcare to "everyone", including the socially disadvantaged, the economically challenged, and the systemically marginalized? What keeps us from reaching "everywhere," which must consist of the remote areas in our Himalayan region, where essentials were airlifted by air force helicopters until recently? (National Geographic News) The answers to the above questions can be addressed by a framework proposed by Arvind Kasthuri as five A's, namely – Awareness or the lack of it, Access or the lack of it, Absence or the lack of it, Affordability or the cost of healthcare and Accountability or the lack of it (Kasthuri A., 2018). This research is intended to impact all the five A's and their dimensions through an innovative design solution.
